Hong Kong China's Lachlan Doheny to Face Foul Play Review Committee
World Rugby has confirmed that Hong Kong China lock Lachlan Doheny will appear before a Foul Play Review Committee (FPRC) today, Monday, 13 July 2026, following his red card in the Match Day 2 fixture against Chile.
Doheny was shown a red card after receiving two yellow cards during the match—first for a cynical infringement (Law 9.7(a)) and then for a high tackle (Law 9.13). The accumulation of two yellow cards resulted in an automatic red card, triggering the disciplinary process.
Expedited Off-Field Sanction Trial
The case will be heard under World Rugby's expedited off-field sanction trial, which is currently operating for the 2026 World Rugby Nations Cup. Under this trial, the citing window is set at 12 hours following the final whistle, ensuring swift resolution of disciplinary matters.
The FPRC will ordinarily convene after each match weekend to review red card incidents and citings. Full disciplinary committee hearings, when required, are conducted within 48 hours following the relevant match.
